BİLEN is an industrial company founded in 1954, working as a supplier of products and services for automotive, construction machinery, power generators and armored vehicles for three generations.

About Us

Thanks to the broad experience of a long-term organization, its design, testing, prototyping, production abilities and its unique work atmosphere are the main reasons of being a preferred solution partner by its customers.

BİLEN has the ability to offer co-design, test, measurement and on-time delivery of a wide range of parts to its customers at home and abroad, with a team that believes the power of experience is as vital as a manageable supply chain. Design and testing services are mainly focused on industrial clients, and require specific technical background and know-how. The studies are made in cooperation with client’s technical departments, where special designs are made by Bilen Engineering and R&D departments for each specific application and engine data. The remaining tasks such as prototyping and testing can also be carried out by the team.

BİLEN delivers its products to many locations all over the globe from its new and modern plant. The new factory building is located in Duzce Industrial Area midway between Istanbul and Ankara, where all operations were moved in 2014 from the previous plant in İstanbul.

Our General Principles:

We act with social responsibility in all our activities as a basic management approach, and we base our practice on implementing sustainable and improvable social responsibility practices.

We do not limit our understanding of social responsibility to only in-house activities, but we determine our priorities in this regard by considering what is best for the society and the environment. We strive for the development of our society.

In the field of social responsibility, we develop approaches to ensure that they act in accordance with our standards.

We undertake to be respectful to people and the environment in all geographies where we operate and will operate, and we demand that all our works act in this direction.

We apply the “Code of Ethics” and UNGC (United Nations Global Compact) expectations in all works that we implement, in line with our business conduct procedures, labor law, environmental law, occupational health and safety law which all lead to the formation of our Corporate Social Responsibility Principles.

Our basic principles in our social responsibility practices are as follows:

We offer equal opportunities to everyone in our approach and practices towards our employees and all other stakeholders, regardless of religion, language, race, color, gender, political opinion, organizations they are members of, etc. We stand against all kinds of discrimination. We act without discrimination in all our activities, from the recruitment phase to the termination phase. In addition, we aim to create a positive and harmonious working environment that supports cooperation and to prevent conflict environments.

 

We ensure that our employees' personal rights are fully and correctly used. We develop systems for our employees to receive wages within the company with a balanced and fair evaluation system. We take the minimum wage determined by the law as the minimum wage that employees can afford to cover their living expenses, and ensure that overtime wages are paid.

 

We know that we need conscious employees in order for social compliance to become fully widespread in our company. We ensure that the awareness level of the employees is increased by providing information and training on the personnel rights, company rules and working conditions of the employees during the recruitment phase and at certain periods during the working period.

 

Our most important asset in our company is our employees. Providing and protecting the occupational health and safety of our employees is our top priority goal. We carry out risk assessment studies for the health of our employees, and we provide a healthy and safe working environment by taking all measures to eliminate or reduce the identified risks. We follow the relevant laws in this regard, and we perform many practices beyond the expectations of these laws. In order to ensure the effectiveness and appropriateness of our occupational health and safety practices, we constantly strive to find areas for improvement with both internal and external audits.

We make the necessary effort for the personal development of our employees and observe the balance between business life and private life. We follow the rules regarding working hours and make our business plans within this framework. We believe that all of our employees have the right to work in a healthy and safe environment, in working conditions that comply with human dignity.

 

We organize activities in order to increase the social responsibility awareness of our employees and our society, and we encourage them to volunteer. We strive for the development of our society.

 

We do not employ anyone below the legal minimum age. In order to prevent child labour, we provide trainings and briefings to raise awareness of all our stakeholders, including our suppliers. We comply with the age limits determined within the framework of the law and provisions.

 

We do not allow any of our employees to work without job security. At the same time, we set rules and control to prevent the suppliers we receive support from working uninsured and against the labor law.

 

We ensure that our employees can frequently talk to the business management about working conditions without fear of negative consequences.

 

We only hire personnel who want to work of their own free will, we do not make use of involuntary labor such as any kind of forced labor. We certainly do not demand that our employees pay any obligations to our company with their own workforce. Our employees have the right to terminate the employment contract within the time frame determined by the law. Employee engagement in our company is completely voluntary. We believe that loyalty to the company will be achieved voluntarily, not by force. In this context, we carry out activities to measure and increase the wholehearted commitment to the company through employee surveys.

 

We are aware that we are responsible for implementing all kinds of improvement and development studies that will minimize these effects by considering the environmental impacts of our work. We constantly check and try to improve our in-plant practices in order to protect the natural environment. We primarily seek opportunities for recycling rather than disposal of facility waste. In the case of waste, we comply with the environmental protection rules at the highest level.

 

We work in accordance with ethical principles in our business: we stay away from all forms of corruption, bribery, fraud, embezzlement, blackmail and abuse. We do not tolerate the exchange of money or gifts to influence the behavior of another person, organization, politician, government employee or office for the sake of commercial or personal benefit in any way. Regarding this, we provide training on our "Ethical Rules" to our company's employees and ensure that we work accordingly.
